She hung up the phone, she looked at me and said, "He didnt even remember his name."

Trump disputes account of his call with soldier’s widow. But congresswoman who heard exchange says it was ‘horrible.’

Wilson told MSNBC on Wednesday that Johnson's widow, Myeshia, was shaken by the exchange.

“She was crying the whole time, and when she hung up the phone, she looked at me and said, ‘He didn’t even remember his name.’ That’s the hurting part.”

Wilson went on to say Trump “was almost like joking. He said, ‘Well, I guess you knew’ — something to the effect that ‘he knew what he was getting into when he signed up, but I guess it hurts anyway.’ You know, just matter-of-factly, that this is what happens, anyone who is signing up for military duty is signing up to die. That’s the way we interpreted it. It was horrible. It was insensitive. It was absolutely crazy, unnecessary. I was livid.”

“She was in tears. She was in tears. And she said, ‘He didn’t even remember his name.’”

Don’t forget this jerk’s reputation for lying. He lies like the rest of us breathe. He has not a single grain-of-sand’s worth of empathy or compassion. His track record of wall-to-wall, constant, and consistent dishonesty would compel any objective listener NOT to give him the benefit of the doubt. He squandered that privilege LOOOOONNNNGG ago.

The Congresswoman let her have it but good. Rep. Wilson has known the deceased since he was a young boy and had mentored him. Rep. Wilson has know the soldier's family for years. The Congresswoman was not making it a political issue but was coming from a position of someone who loved this young man and his family. Good for her.

I was watching the David Fincher series "Mindhunter" last night and the psychologist character said, about psychopaths, "they don't believe that other people have interior lives".

That describes Trump to a T, a raging narcissist, incapable of empathy, or human decency.

I've just returned to work after a family death, and I've not kept up with all of the news of recent weeks. I'm a cube rat at the moment and can't look up the information myself.

But, was the deceased a Black American? Regardless of his skin color, this account of the conversation just makes my blood boil. But if it is as I assume it is, Trump was probably being callous because of his disdain for people not like himself. THAT makes me even angrier.

Trump is hideous.

Some question if Moron knew this or cared. If a person isn't white or rich or male or better yet all three, in his rat's nest of a mind, that person is a loser. Not worthy of his attention. Kelly probably told him he had to make an effort about the soldiers killed in Niger. The only surprise it wasn't worse and it could have been.

I know a solid majority of Americans would prefer it if this wretchedly pathetic excuse for a human being was no longer their President. Everyone here sure does of course. On DU and the vast majority of Canadians. Nonetheless, I just gotta say it. I just gotta ask. How much fucking longer?
