I used to view Nicole Wallace as completely worthless.

I must say that over the past couple of months, she has steadily gained my respect.

She's on right now raking Trump over the coals over his boorish, inappropriate, slimy behavior.

They don't get free food unless it's for a State Dinner. But they probably do get free food when they're lunching or dining with members of Congress. That would be classified under 'working' meals.

There are two kitchens. One is for the First Family. So if someone wants to cook their own meals or raid the frig for midnight ice cream they have their own kitchen. The First Family kitchen is on the second floor.

MSNBC shows including Morning Joe since the campaign. Both have shown little affection for Trump. I seem to recall that she had said that her Father was a Trump supporter, and everytime she would mention it, she seemed embarrass by the fact. She and Joe who also claimed to have members of his family who were Trump supporters seemed to be embarrassed by the fact and often joked about it. I like her and give her a pass for Sarah Palin whom she also seems to have no love lost for these days.

Her parents are (or at least were) Trump supporters. Nicole works at her job, treats people generally with respect, and seems clear-eyed about Trump. Plus, she's become a parent which seems to be important in her life; it can make people re-consider their world views in a more humble way. Parenting make sure it pretty obvious that we all are born pretty vulnerable and impressionable, which doesn't jive with republican bootstraps ideology.

The United States needs a Republican Party comprised of thoughtful, honest, "conservatives". It's okay to have a little pepper to balance the salt. Right now there's too much of some other dark substance in the shaker.

There was this nasally whine. Then the repug talking points. But every now and then she would briefly stop all that and I would say, whoa Nicole Wallace got a spine. Then she went back to her normal stuff and I switched channels.

Then about a year ago, that whine faded and she didn't retreat to right wing talking points as fast. This kept happening. And she is turning out to be a very good news host. I like the style she has adopted.

These days I really enjoy her show. I would not have said that two years ago. She has changed and for the better. Yes, she is still a republican, but she is not crazy.
