What about that HUGE OIL SPILL in the Gulf of Mexico??? Not a single follow up in

Nearly 400,000 Gallons of Oil Spew Into Gulf of Mexico, Could Be Largest Spill Since Deepwater Horizon
https://www.ecowatch.com/oil-spill-louisiana-gulf-2497618663.html Oct. 17, 2017

Last week, a pipe owned by offshore oil and gas operator LLOG Exploration Company, LLC spilled up to 393,000 gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, reminding many observers of the Deepwater Horizon explosion seven years ago that spewed approximately 210 million gallons of crude into familiar territory.

Now, a report from Bloomberg suggests that the LLOG spill could be the largest in the U.S. since the 2010 BP blowout, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE).

I am sure it was pushed off by GOP friends with deep pockets. I am surprised animal rescue groups didn't draw more attention to it though.

It's all about Trump and his latest string of offensive and outrageous Tweets/rantings/complaints/self congratulations. He manages to blot out any relevant news, but he sure brings in the ratings.

But this oil spill is way less in scale and type than Deepwater Horizon.

The oil spilled is only about 0.2% of the Deepwater Horizon (or one five hundredth).

This incident was a pipeline problem, not an uncontrolled oil well blow out as was Deepwater Horizon.

I am kind of surprised actually that this is the biggest US oil spill since Deepwater Horizon.

By no means am I suggesting that oil spills are acceptable or that Trump et al favor reduction of measures meant to decrease the risks.
