I thought we never left anyone behind. Has there been an answer as to how he died?
How were the other members of the unit extracted from the ambush. I saw that French forces and fighter aircraft stopped the ambush from killing the rest of the unit.
I truly dont know the answers to this but is there information out on this?
we need Benghazi type hearings and COS Kelly should be called. I find it hard to believe that Chad was added to the travel ban without his knowledge since he was the former head of homeland security.

(3,613 posts)There is obviously a coverup by the government

(61,599 posts)I havent seen any suggestion of that. Three other men were killed at the same time.
Why would you suggest such a thing?

(19,808 posts)Read about Pat Tillman.
Terrible things happen in confusion of battle.
And we don't know the circumstances.
Johnson was found a mile away from the others.
A little hard to be killed at the same time isn't it.
He had time to activate his GPS.
We need answers...until then
Speculation.

(53,774 posts)They found him two days later and during some of that time his locator beacon was still signaling.
Maybe he was trying to find shelter after being left behind.
But now they're say he was a mile away from everyone else.
Are they setting it up to make it look like he fled?

(7,768 posts)Why is the military not allowing an open casket funeral for this soldier? The thought that comes to my mind is, was he tortured and mutilated? Ughhh, this is all so terrible on EVERY level.
I fear that there is something really ugly and dark going on here and the investigation will (should) expose it. Unless of course, the filthy reThugs try to ignore it and do a cover up. Hey Trey? Whatcha gonna do?

Hill asked, "So, you feel that's something that is an ongoing problem for a number of families, they're not getting the full story from the government?"
Mary replied, "Yes. I believe that's true. I've met many of them."

(61,599 posts)Therefore, he either died alone or was killed by enemies.
We absolutely need hearings on this.

(82,849 posts)Congressional Republicans obsessed over every jot and tittle of the attack, from the possibility that it was a reaction to that Florida nitwit's video dissing Mohammed, to the "talking points" Susan Rice recited in the first chaotic hours afterwards. One of the zombie rumors is the "stand down" order that never happened, which walks with the myth that some far-distant contingent of military personnel somewhere in Europe or the United States could have gotten to Benghazi in time to save everyone.
Those were the original spores from which sprang endless investigations, articles, reports, and ominous rumors. Oh, how the questions lingered and the clouds refused to dissipate. The more Republican investigators learned, the less they seemed to know, and their own maze of contradictory statements became evidence in itself of some dark cover-up.
Compare and contrast with the Niger ambush. Republicans have evinced absolutely no curiosity about what those military personnel were doing there, who was with them, why Sgt. Johnson was left behind, and why others in the area didn't do squat-ah for at least two days.

(9,287 posts)highlights the absolute disconnect between Dept of State and Trumps Muslim ban and our soldiers. Is there anybody left in State that is an expert in Chad? Tillerson and orange Nero have destroyed our diplomatic corps in favor of the Generals.
