Well I disagree with him on this particular issue, he is and always has been a decent human being.

Any kind words directed at Trump are an attempt to open the door on diplomatic action with North Korea. I don't think Carter truly endorses Trump on any issue. Earlier this year Carter said that America currently has no functioning democracy.

If you look into the potential consequences with a war with North Korea, they are horrific. Policy experts on the issue say that the casualties would be in the millions and there is the potential there for nuclear detonations. Trump seems to be a-okay with that and is trying to pick a fight with North Korea. I'm glad Carter doesn't see it that way and is using his potential leverage as a former president to try to help humanity.

This is the fourth damn time I've had to post this. Get a grip people.

Carter is trying to stop millions of people from being killed by making nice with Trump on this issue, and you can't see past it because of your hatred of one man.

16. Really? You don't see that? It's as plain as day. It's right in the beginning of the article.

Do you really think Carter wants to suck up to Trump?

Why are you arguing with me on this? Do you think Carter is going to make headway with Trump by calling him an asshole?

Beware of M$Greedia as they seek to fall in love with Carter after years of villifying him.
Unlike all of them Carter is a good human being

And a noble humanitarian.

I must say, I have issues WRT taking one thing an elected official says and turning it into a "s/he's dead to me" moment.

Me, I'm a grownup. I don't expect to agree with people all the time.

Good.

I wouldn't have wanted RR to have any superlatives next to his Presidential record. Not the oldest in office (although Tangerine Tinyhands now holds that dubious distinction), not the oldest ever, nothing.

Jimmy Carter is certainly one of the greatest men ever to hold the office, regardless of his Presidential record (which I think has been pettily and deliberately under-rated).

I'm tired of newspapers, cable news, and opinion forums propping up right-wing mediocrities.

There was a time in this country when excellence was respected.

We have become such craphounds...

apparently excellence is not good for ratings - they need a Honey BooBoo government.
