Chump must have had a rough weekend at Rasmussen (R)

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-eight percent (58%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 27% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 50% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -23. (see trends).

Regular updates are posted Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily email update).

Attempted murder in FL and a murder in VA , they aren't going away if they still support him as of 10/2017. They strongly approve

which is all that matters.

But nevertheless a lot more are angry and worried that he's not coming through for them. My guess is that true approval is far closer to that nutso 12% or so who will declare loyal support for everything their leader does to the very end.

Btw, Masha Gessen, who's written on people happy living under authoritarian leaders says what will most damage their support of their chosen leader is for them to believe they've chosen a loser. Not evil, not incompetent. They above all want to march behind a winner, and they have be afraid they're not.
