****Official DU Indictment Betting Pool*****

You cannot say "I told you so" later unless you post it here first.

The subject of the indictment is _________

I'm going with Michael Cohen. He's an under-appreciated scumbag, and more likely than either Flynn or Manafort to have attempted to take pre-emptive defensive countermeasures which only will dig him in deeper.

I would be thrilled if first indictment touches money laundering. Sends a strong signal that Trump's own money laundering is not out of bounds.

Manafort is the essence of the whole Russian pestilence. Bribery and killing in Eastern Europe to reestablish the Russian Empire; undercutting democracy in Europe and America; transporting Russian corruption across international boundaries; crooked banking; crooked real estate deals to hide Russian money; installing pro-Russian campaign and anti-sanctions platform.

Because they raided his house and he obviously was trying to hide and destroy incriminating evidence. I'm thinking he's the easiest indictment to secure and the easiest conviction to get.

He's also craven enough to be motivated by saving himself. Mueller might think he'd be easier to flip than Flynn (who would be my second choice).

his purported money-laundering activities involving NYC real estate most likely expose him to criminal liability under NY state laws, which puts him out of reach of a presidential pardon. So they may be expecting they can lean on him with that and get him to roll over and cut a deal in exchange for giving up Trump (or whoever was running him in his meetings with the Russians and contacts with Wikileaks etc).

If I were to speculate, I think it may be someone down a few levels on the totem pole. But what a beautiful end to a suck ass week. GOP going psycho on whatever shiny object they can conjure. Trump continuing to be a clueless asshole to anyone who doesn't kiss his fat, Depends clad ass.

But, still, I feel the shit is or soon will be hitting the fan. Or maybe one of Dotard's Depends hitting the woodchipper. Happy Days are here again.

Of course, we must still make it through this without Trump starting a nuclear holocaust.

Ex-CIA Director Spoke to Mueller About Flynn’s Alleged Turkish Scheme

by Ken Dilanian

WASHINGTON — Former CIA Director James Woolsey has been interviewed by FBI agents working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller about allegations that Mike Flynn discussed the potentially illegal removal of a Turkish cleric from the U.S., Woolsey's spokesman told NBC News.

"Ambassador Woolsey and his wife have been in communication with the FBI regarding the Sept. 19, 2016 meeting Ambassador Woolsey was invited to attend by one of Gen. Flynn's business partners," Woolsey spokesman Jonathan Franks said in a statement. "Ambassador Woolsey and his wife have responded to every request, whether from the FBI, or, more recently, the Office of the Special Counsel."

Franks clarified that the FBI has been "in communication" with Woolsey both before and after the matter was taken over by Mueller's office.

Muller has kept this investigation close to his chest. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance that the first indictment isn't even a major Trump player (Page, Kushner, Flynn, Don Jr., Manafort, Stone, Cohen) but is actually a less than sensational name none of us have heard much about until now.

I think they will wait until further into the investigation to make the major indictments.

We'll find out soon enough!

Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort included at least eight people.

The revelation of additional participants comes as The Associated Press first reported Friday that a Russian-American lobbyist named Rinat Akhmetshin said he also attended the June 2016 meeting with Donald Trump Jr. CNN has reached out to Akhmetshin for comment.
So far acknowledged in attendance: Trump Jr., Kushner, Manafort, Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, Akhmetshin and publicist Rob Goldstone, who helped set up the meeting. A source familiar with the circumstances told CNN there were at least two other people in the room as well, a translator and a representative of the Russian family who had asked Goldstone to set up the meeting. The source did not provide the names.

1. Jr.
2. Kushner
3. Manafort
4. Akhmetshin
5. Veselnitskaya
6. Goldstone
7. Translator
8. Unknown russian family rep.

This seems to be Mueller's front door at the moment, so, bets are, it's one of the above.

Maybe Akhmetshin?

I think Mueller is trying to exert pressure for someone to flip. I’m hoping it’s Nunes. Supposedly, Malcolm Nance thought he might be a possibility. I think I would do a flip if it was him.

Seriously, I think Manafort. Maybe Flynn and his son, but guess Manafort for this one.

Cohen will get his but don't think they are quite ready yet.

Flynn is in deep trouble for dealing with Russia and Turkey and not disclosing those facts. Kushner failed to disclose numerous items. Manafort for money laundering and deals with Russia and their allies.

The Kushner thing is the big the big one. That will knock the Moron in Chief for a real loop. Donnie Jr. will be in the next batch.
