Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein explains how Mueller warrants are probably about 'conspiracy'Bob Brigham 27 OCT 2017 AT 21:26 ET
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper interviewed legendary Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein to discuss breaking news that a grand jury has filed sealed charges against in special counsel Robert Muellers investigations into possible Donald Trump campaign collusion with Russia and potential White House obstruction of justice.
Ive talked to some of the lawyers that knew this was coming, they believe the intent is to get one or more of these people to cooperate and turn over some more facts about what the prosecutors think may be a conspiracy, Bernstein reported.

What escalated matters was President Richard Nixons administration attempt to cover-up its involvement. After the 5 burglars were caught and the conspiracy was discovered, Watergate was investigated by the U.S. Congress; meanwhile Nixon's administration resisted its probes, which led to a constitutional crisis.[1] . .
Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974.'
