How The Hell Did Anthony Podesta Get Shoehorned Into This Mess?

His relationship to Manafort was at best tangential and he reported his activities to Congress. There was no FARA violation and even if there was it was a technical violation as he wasn't trying to conceal his activities.

The Podesta Group, a Washington lobbying and public relations company known for its ties to Democrats, is among several firms that worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on a multi-year effort to boost the standing Viktor Yanukovych, the pro-Russian president of Ukraine who was later forced from office by a 2014 uprising.

From this article it looks like the investigation of the Podesta Group might be a way of getting more dirt on Manafort. The fact that Anthony Podesta is John's brother is fodder for the RW, but it doesn't look like he's one of Mueller's targets.
