General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI finally met an Obama/Bernie/Trump voter. So at least one of them exists.
I don't know how we'll ever reach that group, however.
He said he didn't expect Trump to win and didn't think his Seattle vote mattered. He liked Hillary okay but didn't want her to have too big of a margin.
Just to make things even more confusing, he's a gay cop who doesn't particularly like the gay community. (He talked about the "Seattle freeze." I suspect he's lonely.) And he's hating Trump now but he won't promise not to vote for him again, depending on the circumstances. He says he'd vote for Elizabeth Warren in a heartbeat.
He says he voted for Obama. But Bernie's lost his vote in the future since he elevated Nina Turner, who the guy hates because of Black Lives Matter.
So how the heck are we supposed to deal with voters like this?
that confused is a lost cause.

(108,977 posts)he does sound crazy, but the effect was different during the course of a long conversation. We probably spent the first hour discussing why he doesn't like Seattle (and I do). And where he lived back East and where he went to college (same school as my brother.) Eventually that led into the political talk -- but spread out over the course of an hour, the inconsistencies weren't as glaring. It was only when I started to think about him afterwards that it hit me.

(6,390 posts)Someone who represents everything to him...but disregards everyone else. Sad to say, Romney was correct, the vote is "locked in" to a point, and its all about the fickle and getting their vote...I could go on how the US needs at least a four party or more system, but I'll leave it there.

HRC would have won in a landslide had it not been for a completely corrupted FBI.
