CNN reported that Gates had a public defender but expressed his intent to get a lawyer soon.
In America, we aspire to the idea that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
The media should make an extra effort to remain fair in their reporting. They have to maintain the ideal of innocence as best as humanly possible.
But the people deserve the truth.
And the people deserve justice.
