It's the Greek version of Smith.
I wondered that because I remember there is a notable purveyor of pro-Russian propaganda named Marcus Papadopoulos that I initially thought might be a relative, but I don't think that's the case.
But who knows? Certain Smiths are related to other Smiths, after all.
