(61,695 posts)She told Lawrence one night when he was trying to toot her horn for her, list her bona fides, that her product comes from the effort of her & staff to get the information, vet it, and get it right.
I just love Rachel. She's smart. She can tease out the finer points of activities, arguments and timelines. And she does it with grace and humility.

This is how journalism should be.

Without them the Muellers have no support, they can indict away but if the criminal has popularity then he can pardon away with impunity.

(7,503 posts)since forever smartest person in news bar none. Yet she's self effacing doesn't brag on herself. So delighted she is getting her due. Even as a disciple I sometimes wonder where a story is going as she weaves another tapestry. That is what she does ties stuff together so what made no sense in little pieces becomes eminently clear as a whole. I sense a genuine love among her colleagues. She is tenacious and never lets go. Deserves all the accolades and more!

(9,760 posts)She is just as amazing in person. From what we could see, she was running the show, but in a calm, focused manner, and with no attitude of conceit.
Some people object to the way she so painstakingly lays out her case when presenting an issue, but it doesn't bother me one bit. Especially as I'm using multitasking while watching her show. But, I think it's also important because it allows her to present an airtight case.
I think she's awesome.

(86,598 posts)she gives us all the info we need to understand why she is reporting on a topic and why it matters that we know about what she is reporting. She is, by far, what we have been asking for in news media. The only thing people are really complaining about is that they have to listen for more than 30 seconds.
I think she fills in for decades of public schools' lack of civics education.
