The "emolument clause" is in the Constitution for a reason.

It was not put in our Constitution for no reason. It is not a trivial law that can be ignored.

George Washington warned us in his Farewell Address to "beware of foreign entanglements". We now find ourselves up to our eyeballs in foreign entanglements.

Our Congress shirked its responsibility by permitting the present occupant of the White House to ignore the emolument clause of our Constitution. They said it did not matter how much business interests he might have around the world. He was a businessman. The "emolument clause" was no big deal.

But it is a big deal. It is as important as any other part of our Constitution. We cannot ignore those parts of the Constitution that we do not like.

The courts will soon decide on the "emoluments" suit against Donald Trump and this Administration. It would be a shame if they ruled against our Constitution.

Especially after being out in the sun as much as those guys were. After sun and weather exposure, applying some emoluments to your hands and face will keep them looking younger for years.
