(22,670 posts)Go through and get the Russia, Mueller, Indictments, etc., etc., etc., threads up where they can be seen. All these fluff Reality Show pieces, let them sink.
Thanks Malaise.

(37,648 posts)I don't think it's healthy to totally ignore something that is front page news and that a potential candidate is talking about. It's a matter of the tone of the threads, related to something in the news, and just the one thread on that.
I'm on neither side, BTW. This is between progressives and establishment. I'm not really either. But regardless which end I'm on, I would still want to hear factual statements or in-the-news references. This wasn't a small thing, I gather. It was and is in the news, and a lawsuit was filed over it.
But no one wants to see a "progressives vs the establishment" fight or split. That's not helpful for future elections. It's great the Republicans have that. We don't want the same thing.

(44,124 posts)Actually most things published by Politico rarely qualify as front page news. The site is not useless but they are Republican funded. They are all too happy to distract and stir the pot. I take everything I read there with a boulder of salt.
I am excited that Donna is reinventing herself so as to be more competitive in the job market. It's a tough field and I wish her well. She backed a losing candidate and it is hard to get work after that. It's not breaking news though.
Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)Her statements were unnecessarily inflammatory, IMO. She could've made the same comment, only phrased more delicately.
But I do think refusing to post things that are front page news items and affect the Dems or Repubs isn't the way to go. But all these posts with a rude tone (esp by some newbies) is inappropriate. It's a fine line.

(44,124 posts)That's another site that plays fast and loose w Democrats. The poster said The Hill's spin did not at all match the interview with Warren he saw
Yeah agree a fine line. I really enjoyed reading Brazile's excerpt.

I know what she means, and hearing her say it is better than READING it...it sounds more proactive and positive. Still, I wish she wouldn't have phrased things the way she did.
