I have no idea if that is considered long, short, average, etc. My limited criminal justice experience is as a juror in a simple drunk driving case that took the prosecutor a day and a half to argue. Does Mueller's request indicate anything in particular or just good to know for us to mark our calendars and stock up on the appropriate amount of ?

that given the complexity of the alleged money laundering schemes, and especially conspiracy agains the U.S., three weeks are warranted; so about right. I believe Mueller’s team is excellent and is not screwing around. A lesser team would probably need more time, if they could do it at all. Mueller’s team is only bringing charges that can be proven, and I expect many more indictments to come.

The reason it took so long is because of the complexities of the case. The jury basically took a class in finance (and finance law, in particular). When she was done with that jury stint (fully paid, btw), she was completely exhausted.

I recently attended a six-hour "Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial People" seminar and that left me drained!

We sat in the smoking section and talked, in generalities, about our cases. I really just felt sorry for her and had to keep her motivated, because they'd already lost 2 jurors and the judge pretty much required that no one leave since they didn't have substitutes. It was a really unique and important case between corporations from what I could glean. She was a real trooper and I have no doubt she gave a good verdict.

I had a theory that the defendants were trying to run out the jury pool and get the case thrown out. Just tire them out. Before learning about her case I didn't even know cases could go that long.

The proof is all on paper ... call various records custodian witnesses to authenticate documents and signature and a few more days to prove the lies. This is his signature saying not a foreign agent; this is deposit showing earnings as a foreign agent; this is his revised application stating he was in fact an agent .... this is his bank account; these are the records showing he exercised control over the bank accounts .... this is his e-mail to daughter and SIL saying "remember, I told the bank you were living at the house." This is the application saying he lived at the house; this is the application for construction loan; this is proof no construction was done ........... no need to bring motive witnesses, eyewitnesses, DNA witnesses, handwriting witnesses. It's all on paper.
