If it wasn't clear before to me it is now.

Trump seems to have gone out of his way to select the LEAST qualified and most corrupt people to fill his cabinet and administration in an effort to totally destroy the American government and institutions.

Putin has little to do to finish the job.

"Trump seems to have gone out of his way to select"

I have doubts. Why would Trump select so many people who have hidden ties to Russia? Are those Putin boys the only guys he knows? Or maybe someone else "helped" to select "the best people"?

Or maybe it's now SOP for rich Americans to have hidden ties to Russia, and Trump (of course) chose his rich buddies, and the Russia ties are simply a side-effect.

Why not? Are the Republicans going to do anything? As long as Trump and the Republican controlled Congress have the same agenda, he could hire a child molesting, serial killer, and the Republicans will look the other way!!!

I would include the leadership of the republican caucus in congress with that statement, too.

kakistocracy: government by the worst, most corrupt, most venal, most incompetent and unqualified people. Underlying all of it of course, is the relentless greedy acquisition of money by any means. Republicans want to wipe out all regulations that stand in the way of limiting laissez-faire capitalism and its profits. Regulatory protections for the environment, safety and health of people be damned.

Trump is “deconstructing” the government according to Comrade Bannon’s plan by establishing a kakistocracy.

I call them "anti" choices - the woman who has never been to public school, the guy who wanted to get rid of the Energy Dept., the one who repeatedly sued the EPA, each is the absolutely worst possible choice. But, like Trump himself, the outrage subsides and we "normalize" them.

Incompetent people who know they are unqualified are grateful for the job and won’t rock the boat and can be controlled.

Crooked people, who you know are crooked, you have that knowledge to dangle over their head to keep them in line.

If there was ever any doubt that Putin directed Trump to hire Tillerson and have him begin to dismantle the US State Department as blackmail directive #1, that's over. The continued string of appointees with the same set of marching papers may appear to resemble Bannon yet are perfectly aligned with Putin. DT was compromised in Russia in 2013, has been laundering money for years, and is deeply indebted to all power brokers in Russia. Played for a fool by the forever KGB agent we are watching the horror unfold. There are as many layers to this attack by Russia on us as there are lies told by the fool. Of all the lies Trump spews, the chart topper will always be, "No puppet, no puppet, you're the puppet."
