3 parts fresh lemon juice
3 parts simple syrup (1 cup water to 1 cup sugar boiled on low till the sugar dissolved)
cherries and a little cherry juice

We get the cheapest, nastiest rotgut whiskey we can find (it’s made and sold on along the Mekong River portion of the Thai/Laotian border — just trust me on this one).

We put it into a plastic bottle with a cheap cellophane camouflage wrapper. Put some bald eagles and flags and guns and shit on it, maybe a sticker that says “Part of all proceeds will go to supporting AMERICAN veterans.” The important part is including all the right words, but emphasizing the wrong one.

We call it... “Deplorable.”

Or maybe “deplorable” will sound too Mexican-y to the semi-literate? I don’t know. It’s a work in progress. Anybody know any venture capitalists with even fewer scruples than normal?

(The terrible whiskey, by the way? Worked surprisingly, bizarrely well as a mixer with strawberry soda, which kind of demonstrated just how bad a whiskey it was)
