in a New York minute. I'm from New York, so I can say that. I've been donating to Al each month for over a year now, and he's not even my Senator! No one works harder that Franken though, and he really pays attention to detail. When he walks into a hearing, he's prepared!

with his dedication, sincerity, and thoroughness. The Repugs thought he would be a joke but they've learned better. I think they fear him now.

He's one of our best and Minnesota is very lucky!

how he can restrain himself when doing talk show interviews. I can tell he would really like to let 'er rip on the Republicans, but manages to maintain decorum and the dignity of his office.

Which is odd in a one-time comedian. Comedians generally wear their hearts on their sleeves. Al doesn't. Of course he has a great wife and family at home to support him, which most road comedians don't have. Al's shit is wired tight, and he's not going to jeopardize his important job for a cheap laugh on some talk show. I love the guy. He would make a great President.

Seriously, Al is a champion of the best of progressive causes every day in Congress, and he's very intelligent. If there ever was an antithesis to our very despised Sen. McConnell, Al is the one!

I love that he's loyal to the party... in good times and bad. I love that he's SMART ENOUGH to only do and say things that STRENGTHEN the party. I love that he's not VAIN AND ARROGANT and that he doesn't feel selfishly compelled to smear and tar and denigrate Democrats. He's got such a charming and "down-home" DEMEANOR. He makes me SO PROUD to be a Democrat! I just love him to pieces!
