Trump is like a spoiled little kid, whenever he gets caught at anything, he points a finger at someone else - and who else but our first African American president - who is also a Democrat?? And who has the unbelievable nerve to be the smartest guy in the room and the enviable quality of being extremely popular with the American people - and everyone else!

...every thing is Obama's fault...

Even the rain is his "fault" if Trump forgot his umbrella !

Finally, I opened a new thread dedicated to this one.

We're faced with a "president" who's nothing but a sorehead!

...an entire room full of college Republican kids that do nothing but write his Tweets and research ways to deflect and project blame for everything that happens.

I say "kids" because the grammar, structure and diction is so bad, and I refuse to believe he has the depth to do it himself.

He has the attention span of a gnat - no offense to gnats - and is incapable of remembering what he said five minutes ago. Exactly the quality we expect in a "president." I have Jimmy Carter's autobiography and the amount of research and attention he gave to every issue was incredible! During the Camp David Accords, he made the effort to know the names of Menachem Begin's grandchildren!

No very well ranked but by what I know of him, he deserves a better opinion.
It is sad he had only one term.

He was blamed for problems he was not at all responsible (Iran hostage, energy crisis,...). The irony is that he lost while Republicans have a great responsability in some of the problems, especially the stagflation.

I knew nothing about politics back then, all I knew was that he came off as a wonderful human being. But I know now it was more than that, he was the consummate diplomat. He did his homework and then some. Not everyone knows how involved he was in international diplomacy well after his presidency. George HW Bush used the resources of The Carter Center and, with his background in nuclear engineering, Jimmy Carter negotiated an agreement with North Korea on behalf of the Clinton administration that held until 2002. And the agreement between Israel and Egypt still holds though both Sadat and Begin are gone. I've learned many more details from his 2014 autobiography, I have it on audio, I often play it in my car and I learn something new every time through.

"Why Not The Best"? Don't yet have that one but I do have "Living Faith" and need to finish it, among several other books left laying from my running days, LOL. Also looking forward to reading about some of his post-presidency adventures, all of which I admire.

Equally admirable is President Obama's dedication to his work, as I've read stories about his work ethic, with him putting in very long days almost every day but still taking his family time.

I suspect Trump remembers only one thing about his international peers: their golf handicap and weaknesses.

...the very special and very own English spoken and written by Trump et al, since I tend to use a very simple vocabulary and very simple grammar structures.

But really, even non-native English speakers are surprised by Trump's "English"

Although well-educated, many of us worked in fields where plain language was required and expected, so we therefore never developed a "fancy" way of speech.

Now that I'm retired, I find myself using my dictionary quite a lot while reading on DU.
