Not that I'd suggest a noble gentleman like Trey Gowdy would be motivated by base impulses like a lust for power, or anything.

(11,936 posts)...I can't imagine anyone with an iota of prosecutorial instinct suffering a witness like Carter Page for very long. Just watching Page on Chris Hayes is enough to make someone want to claw their eyeballs out.
