Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said that her vote on the current version of the tax overhaul is contingent on passing a separate bill to stabilize the individual health insurance market, Roll Call reports.
The tax legislation now includes a section to repeal the individual mandate a provision that opens up over $300 billion in revenue but could also threaten the viability of the overall health law.

(51,588 posts)So are McCain and Corker. Johnson(WI) of all people is NOT for it. Collins (ME) is also waivering. We have to focus our RESITANCE on them.
Call Congress (202) 224-3121. Bernie, MoveOn.org, Indivisible, etc are getting organized for a week of action to DELAY the Tax Scam. Get the word out since Congress goes on Thanksgiving Recess so we must nail them while they are at home and then when they return to DC on Nov 29-Dec 2. Protest, call, write, sign petitions, organize and hold town halls...but do it NOW, FAST and LOUD! Stay strong...we will fight this!

(90,662 posts)...in the Senate, due to the critical minority of Repubs who have already made it clear they won't vote to destroy the ACA. All we Dems have to do is hold the line and not let a single Dem vote slip away.
That and don't allow them to throw out a single Democratic Senator on one of their false equivalency scams. Don't be fooled.

(31,233 posts)no democratic support in the Senate. As long as he votes against it, I don't really care if it's "procedural" or "substance".

(12,624 posts)this time, there's no reason to think he'll vote against it. His objection was not that no Dems voted for it, if that's what you're suggesting.
