How important is it for a senator to know whether a caller lives in his/her state?

The tax bill affects the whole country. Rethug senators' staffers continue to screen calls according to whether or not you are a resident. But then they act based on what their megadonors want despite the will of their constituents. Hypocrisy at every level.

Just as all House members screen as to whether you live in their district. If you can't vote for or against them they don't care.

I do understand yr frustration but you aren’t a constituent of an out of State senator. Their job is to represent their constituents.

I want to be able to lobby rethugs, regardless of whether I am their direct constituent. Wishful thinking, I know.

There was an excellent New Yorker article about the relative weight of various communications to your reps
