This would be a lot better for democrats if

we could accept the Franken apology and use that politically to point out the difference between us and republicans.

But all this "lets investigate the whore and tear her down" opinions and actual investigating at the very least makes one sound exactly like a Roy Moore supporter who wants to tear his accuser down.

Al Franken aint no Roy Moore or Donald Trump. He made a heartfelt apology that was forward thinking and respectful. Totally opposite of what Moore and Trump have done publicly, they call their accusers liars. But some people are displaying a stunning instance of cognitive dissonance and want to do to this woman what Moore and Trump have done to their accusers and the absolute opposite if what Al Franken did.

Come on folks stop adding fuel to this fire. Point out the difference in how dems handle this in a respectful way and apologize and how republicans demonize, harass, threat and call them liars.

We would all be a bit better off if that track was the one chosen. Follow Al's lead. He is on the right track.

Franken has now positioned himself to do a tremendous amount of good for women.

First, with his apologies and acceptance, he has done the right thing now about the wrong thing he did eleven years ago, and set a conspicuous public example of what the right thing is.

Second - and this is hugely important - he has demanded a Senate Ethics inquiry into his behavior. That inquiry will shine a bright, bright spotlight not just on Senator Franken, but upon the topic of sexual harassment. There are probably many guiltier parties that will be caught in the glare.

Public awareness and public attitudes about sexual harassment are likely to improve. Women win.

Let's follow Senator Franken's lead on this, and not make it about Leeann Tweeden. I think the good senator knows what he's doing.

as we have seen with weinstein, spacey, weiner, and so many others .

but in the case of Franken the facts DO matter . it's like saying we have to accept swiftboat and birther accusations against Kerry and Obama ?

if it was just some random person seeking fame, money i might even agree with letting it go at some point.

but in this case it was spread and led by the right wing attack machine such as Roger Stone, Hannity, Infowars etc.

and a huge reason FRanken was targeted is because of his questioning of Sessions on Russia.
