5. Trump Did Not Do Anything

I think Lavar Ball was trying to get across to Chris Cuomo that Donald Trump did not do anything to help get the boys out of prison. It seems what Ball is trying to say without actually saying it is that Trump came in at the end of things and then tried to take credit for what happened. In Ball's mind he and the people he was working with were already getting close to getting the boys out of China. So, in Ball's mind he had no reason to thank Trump because Trump did not actually do anything for him or his son.
