Has anyone ever done the demographics (is that the right word)

of the DU subscribers? Has it been broken down into age, gender, residence, income, religion, ethnicity, etc.? I am just curious (mostly about the percentage of male/ female users). I am not a troll.

3. Over the years,

people have posted numerous polls. Since not everyone answers, this is not scientific.

We do seem to be older and white. I have seen changes here over the years, too. IMO, many of our POC and feminists have been chased off the board. And I wonder about the current trolling. There might be too many people here who are willing to skew polls for their own reasons.

4. Nothing official, but you know that DUers love to vote in polls

Ones that come to mind were "Who was president when you were born?" and "Who was the first president you voted for?" DUers tend to skew older on those. And some state forums have more subscribers or are more active than others.

We do have younger members, but my hunch is that demographic tends to gravitate toward social media.

I am active in local Indivisible Groups on FB. We use FB to get us mobilized in real life. I prefer to be active in real life.

I get news and info from DU. I'm also anonymous on DU and prefer to express my opinion on DU rather than FB.
