EQUAL to Roy Moore's or even Rep Barton's.

Anthony Weiner is doing prison time for SEXTING with an underage girl and I believe his sentence is almost purely POLITICAL...

Yet here we are, with Dems and progressives calling on Franken to resign.

While the republicans were shooting themselves in the foot over the Roy Moore fiasco, Dems and progressives decide to call for Franken's resignation over two incidents in which named women "felt" bad about physical contact and anonymous women made allegations. Dems and progressives have attracted media attention by shooting themselves in the HEAD over trumped up minutia...

It's all a far right hatchet job to make Franken out to be as bad as their own allies, who are 1,000,000x guiltier and have committed crimes which would land you or me on death row if one of us had done them.

Franken are true other than the photo. Those who are calling for him to resign on the left like the justice Democrats and other groups have their own agendas. They want Franken to resign so he can be replaced with whatever their fantasy is without even considering what kind of damage that would do to the progressive agenda.

The only people this Franken stuff is helping is republicans.

into the limelight, I'll consider their stories and how true they may (or may not) be.

Anonymous allegations are non-allegations. Simple as that.

As for the other 2: Tweeden's is a little doubtful. No, it's very doubtful. No, it's obviously and clearly a political scam intended to stir things up among the neanderthal "both sides do it" media. Let's see . . . she was traumatized by the event and really, really bothered by it, right? That must be why she hung on to a copy of that photo for years like it was a cherished wedding photo. Hell, she even showed it to her good pal, Sean "loving me some paedophilia" Hannity. She was so sensitive to sexy grabbing that shegrabbed a male singer's butt while he was performing? Really? And now says that Franken was somehow out of bounds? It's show-biz grab ass, no harm intended, no harm done. Sorry, but I call bullshit on her.

And number 2 says he was fondling her ass while her husband was taking a glam-shot of her and Al? Really? What would she have us think: Well, didn't want to spoil the photo op since Al is such a cool guy, but I'll let my husband know later so that years later we can go public with our claim of sexual predation?

Sorry, I've seen and read and heard nothing so far that makes me feel any less supportive of one of the most conscientious and intelligent liberal spokespeople in government.

Tweeden's claim that Franken groped her in her sleep, when her own photo shows he didn't; her claim that he wrote a kiss into the script just so he could kiss her, when a video exists that disproves that; her claim that she hasn't been able to look at him since without "clenching her fists," forgetting she'd been photographed yukking it up with him at an awards dinner 3 years later.

Melanie Morgan's claim that Franken "stalked" her—which turned out to be his calling her several times to discuss a policy issue he felt she was misrepresenting on her radio show.

The (anonymous) claim that a prominent senator would suggest to a constituent at a public event that they visit the bathroom together; another anonymous woman's claim that she heard someone say Franken stared at her chest too long.

These specious claims—some of them downright goofy—create serious doubt about the veracity of the rest.

As a Democrat, I'm proud of how Al has handled this problem with compassion and rationality. He has set a good example of humility for others to follow.

Unfortunately, no Republicans will even recognize that.
