I remember when he first started on Today, and on his first day as he was being welcomed onto the show, someone kidded him, saying he would likely become a "heart throb" for the ladies in the audience. Matt didn't smile. He replied that he didn't want to be a heart throb. He said he wanted to be taken seriously in his job.

Some will even say how brave he was to meet this illness head on. He will then end up at another network making $25 million + just like before. I’ve seen it play out before.
