Acosta - WH source: "WH is in denial tonight. They are totally in a bubble. This is a Red Alert."

We have a massive coverup. Mueller gave Flynn the farm today and, in exchange, Flynn told him where the bodies are buried!

Way bigger than Watergate!

If they are in a "denial bubble" than there would be no need for a " red alert". They know they are screwed and that is scary and dangerous.

Which means that they are out of touch with reality, angry and acting out.
A red alert may be appropriate.

OK, I guess you guys took me seriously...I was JOKING about my earthquake emergency backpack. I may not be the brightest bulb, but I DO know that duct tape and a flashlight will not do any good during a missile attack.

of the world. I think it is possible they do not understand their situation.
I think even Nixon could not face reality until the very end, and he was much smarter and aware than the Trumpwads.

foreign policy toward Russia (including the issue of sanctions) and that Congress has no authority to tell him to impose or maintain sanctions.

That may be his view. I disagree.

Article I, section 8 (powers of Congress)

The Congress shall have power . . . To regulate commerce with foreign nations . . . .

https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/articlei

When Congress passes a law imposing sanctions on a foreign country, the president has to enforce that law. He does not have the authority to choose to ignore it.

The president's ability to decide foreign policy is not absolute.

Also, we only have one president at a time. Trump was not president yet when Flynn was calling the Russians.

And my guess is that there was a quid pro quo although it may not have been voiced as such. Just a tacit understanding will get one in trouble.

so by the time they know where they are, they're already being shipped out someplace else. Diesel buses and Con Air - always on the move; no contact with anyone they know. It's intentional- even their lawyers can't keep track of where they are now.

Keep every single one of 'em in a different location, so they have no allies and no support. Dropped off at one joint at 3PM, processed 'till 8:00, locked down, and then woke up and shipped out again at 4 AM. Burnt out and ground into the blacktop 'till they feel like road kill.

You've seen those old prison buses with bars welded over the windows and damned shadows of doomed souls inside.
