5. You bring up an interesting point.

I think this is why so many people are disappointed with the Democrats. When we get back into power we have to clean up so much that we sometimes don't get around to getting some things people want passed which gives the impression that the Democrats don't care or are "do-nothings." I wish more voters would realize that because the Republicans are so destructive it makes getting us to where we want to be more difficult.

Or to put it another way, if the previous owners of a house tore down the wallpaper, smashed the furniture and clogged the pipes, it makes it harder to make additions to the house because you have to make basic repairs first.
