We can continue to walk the path of what we think are the right things to do . . . . . and keep getting our asses kicked.

We can clean our own house of distractions and start ATTACKING the enemy (which is the GOPedo).

Right and wrong no longer matter. WINNING matters. Our country is being torn apart. We are at war with the nastiest strain of right wingery this country has ever been asked to endure.

I think we are in a time when we just can't support people accused of wrongdoing, on even the thinnest evidence.

This post is NOT about Franken, but let's use him as an example. When it was the totally specious bullshit from Tweeden, it was good to push back. One more anonymous accuser? Keep pushing back. But now we're up to what? Six? Seven? I don't care what level of bullshit describes their accusations, Franken needs to go.

You want to "do the right thing"? Then you need to be above reproach. You need to be . . . . Obama. Zero scandals in eight years. Zero administration arrests in 8 years. Faithful and openly in love and affectionate with his wife and kids. The embodiment of *All American* family values.

If you can't live up to that standard, know you are subject to lose your seat with pressure from your colleagues. Yes, we will lose people we otherwise love.

At the same time, we need people on our side who are not just willing, but HAPPY to punch hard, play hard, do WHATEVER it takes to WIN. In this case, winning IS everything. And we define winning as them losing. Simple. Binary. Kick their asses before they kick ours.

I break it down to these three things:

We need a simple message.

We need honorable people who work for real people.

We need a squad of political killers to counter RW radio, RW TV, and a cowed MSM.

1. Heres the problem with remaining above reproach in this scenario...

...if all it takes are anonymous accusers and campaign pictures that any of our congresspeople take, how do you remain above reproach? At that point you, me, and anyone else who has taken a picture with someone could become a target. Allowing this shallow level BS to push a sitting senator out is setting a precedent that I see as very dangerous.

2. And if an assault on Sherrod Brown doesn't work, they'll try Shumer, then Udall, then Warner . . .

The bots and paid liars and trolls and RW media bullshit and innuendo will never stop coming.

There is no limit to the amount of money that will be poured into fabricating stories, creating "witnesses" out of whole cloth and cranking up the pseudo-outrage machine to 11.

And why will the Republifucks put so much money, time and effort into mass smearing campaigns? Simple - because now they know that such efforts work.

Congressional Democrats will quiver like Jell-O, hoping hoping hoping that they won't be the one to be picked off by the digital hyenas.

This shit works. And we need to start doing it.

Where are the SCREAMS about Moore and Trump? When will Diem leadership start to say it whenever they have a microphone.

I'm so pissed, if democrats don't grow a spin in this war, I'm thinking of changing party affiliation. It may only be symbolic, but it says I no longer stand behind those democrats who are not up to the task of winning and who are more interested in subverting due process for some imagined short-term gain.
