Roy Moore introduces new book, "Abuse of Power: The Supreme Court's Gay Marriage Decision."

Thursday, July 13, 2017, former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore (R) was at Alabama Republican Party Headquarters to announce the release of his new book, “Abuse of Power: The Supreme Court’s Gay Marriage Decision.”

The former Chief Justice said that, “In November 2016, when Donald Trump was elected, people signaled they wanted a change. Part of that was a change in immigration policy. I support that. One of the first things he did was issue an Executive Order for a travel ban. That ban was stopped by Judge (James Louis) Robart in Seattle. One Judge stopped the whole thing, thwarting the will of the President and the American people, exceeding his authority,” Judge Moore said.

Chief Justice Moore said in a statement, “Over the years the Supreme Court has steadily eroded the rule of law through opinions that have no basis in the Constitution. That practice culminated in a 2015 opinion redefining marriage that would have shocked and amazed our Founding Fathers. Many wrongly believe that every opinion of the Supreme Court automatically becomes the supreme law of the land. In reality, however, the Constitution itself, not the Supreme Court, is the supreme law of the land.”

Moore said that the controversial Obergefell versus Hodges decision legalizing ordering the states to recognize same-sex marriage was and is illegal. Moore also denounced the recent decision by the US Supreme Court ordering the state of Arkansas to allow lesbian women to put their name on birth certificates as the “father”. Moore said that a woman can not be a father. When the Supreme Court starts disputing science we have a problem. “Clearly such opinions would shock the founding fathers.”

For years after he was thrown out of office the first time for (you guessed it) abuse of power, I had hoped he'd start his own political party based on his interpretation of Republican Jebus.

He's consistently disappointed me time and time again and absolutely refuses to go away and do something constructive.
