"On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Concentration Camps, will bring thousands of people to locations worldwide as well as to concentration camps across the country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by migrants."

"Initially planned as a nationwide vigil, Lights for Liberty already has 544 events scheduled not only in all 50 states, but also in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Senegal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, so far. Peace Corps volunteers are also hosting a virtual event for Americans living around the world who “want it to be known that we are against the inhuman caging of undocumented men, women, and children in concentration camps."

I went to the vigil, because I first heard about it from your Tuesday post about it on DU. Thanks for alerting to the need to move and show up.

I couldn't go to the one nearest me due to my health finally failing and I am so frustrated!!!! I have had to miss 4 events this year so far.

Since I couldn't go my neighbors and I lit candles to share on social media. That was the organizers' suggestion. I'll continue to do what I can and will continue to post here on DU if I know of any rallies in the future. RESIST!
