Pro-Gay Mormon Excommunicated
Source: TDB
John Dehlin, a Mormon who openly criticized and questioned the Church of Latter Day Saints over gays, was excommunicated Tuesday. Dehlin was found guilty of "apostasy," according to a letter from his LDS stake president Bryan King. Dehlin founded a podcast called "Mormon stories," which discussed issues relevant to modern Mormons and openly suggested ways to improve the church. He has openly advocated for acceptance of gay and lesbian Mormons. Dehlin was first threatened with ex-communication in June along with Kate Kelly, who is feminist that has pushed for the ordination of women in the LDS church. Kelly was excommunicated last year.

There is always a bit of hesitation when critizing an organization of which you are a member. It's probably not even a conscious thing. But that will be 100% gone now. The Mormon church kicked this guy out, but they removed his leash in doing so.
Go get em, John.

Apostasy is a victimless crime. Always has been; always will be.
