Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will carefully avoid the media during his trip to the United Kingdom, on the heels of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's disastrous London swing a week ago.

He is scheduled to have a private meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron on Tuesday, but unlike Christie he will not take questions from the media while he's overseas.

................

'This is an official trip and the purpose of the trade mission is to promote foreign direct investment in Wisconsin, so it is vital that we keep the Governor's planned schedule.'

She said before Walker left that the journey would be 'a business trip, not a photo op.'

More Walker Twitter photos from 'no-photo-op' junket

http://thepoliticalenvironment.blogspot.com/2015/02/more-walker-twitter-photos-from-no.html

As I noted earlier, Walker has told British media he will not do interviews because his trip there is not a photo op. But his Twitter account keeps giving the lie to the statement. How is this photo op not a photo op?

He must have done well enough on the SAT or ACT, but he didn't make it through college. Anyone know what year he was when asked to leave? Did he even finish his Freshman year to be able to say "Some College" on a job application? Personally I wouldn't hire that nitwit to sweep a warehouse, but...

the manufacturer that cancelled plans to build rail cars in Wisconsin. This was immediately after he killed high speed rail plans to connect Madison and Milwaukee.

This is why we can't have nice things- Walker proving he's as Teabaggy as they get by "Shunning the $810 million for the long-planned Wisconsin rail project"

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2010/12/13/134830/tea-party-job-loss/

Even before taking office, Republican Govs.-elect John Kasich (OH) and Scott Walker (WI) swiftly delivered on their “promises to kill America’s future” by rebuking a total of $1.2 billion in stimulus funding for high-speed rail projects in their states. Shunning the $810 million for the long-planned Wisconsin rail project, Walker promised to kill the Milwaukee-Madison link if President Obama tried “to force this down the throats of the taxpayers.”

But campaign rhetoric has very real consequences. Last Thursday — on the same day the World Congress for High Speed Rail announced the next HSR Congress will be held in America for the first time — Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood pulled the funding from Ohio and Wisconsin, offering it instead to states more eager to spur economic development. What’s more, because of Walker’s narrow-minded politics, the Spanish train manufacturing company Talgo, which moved into Wisconsin for this project, is closing its Milwaukee plant and taking the much-needed jobs with it:

His Wisconsin handlers had gotten overconfident; the big guns they have brought in obviously believe he's not ready. But how long can they hide him from the press? Can't win an election only talking to hand picked audiences and reporters. Well, he did in Wisconsin, but this is different, I hope.
