Jeb Bush: I'd Consider Vice Presidency

Source: Huffington Post

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says he'd consider running as vice president with Mitt Romney, but doubts he'll ever be asked.

Bush tells the conservative website Newsmax that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is "probably the best" choice to share the ticket with Romney, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee. Bush said he hopes the freshman senator is offered the No. 2 slot and accepts it.

Rubio has said repeatedly that he isn't interested in leaving the Senate.

Bush said he'd consider running if Romney were to ask him. But the former governor added that he's not sure running for vice president is the right thing for him and said he's doubtful he'd even receive the call.

It's all part of the long-term plan people, all part of the plan to retain power and control.

Wanna see a prediction?
- Bush is offerred and accepts the VP nomination.
- The Romney-Bush ticket manages to get a small percentage victory during late night vote counting in Ohio (or maybe they'll use another pawn this time).
- The Bush Family Empire inaugurates Bush III.
- The end.

Why wouldn't he rather wait until 2016 and go for the #1 spot, when he wouldn't have to run against an increasingly-popular incumbent and when maybe some of the stench of big brother W has dissipated?

For that matter, why would anybody want to be Mittens' running mate?

her offspring can push out more shrubs. Jeb Bush's son, George Prescott Garnica Bush (another Bush with two middle names), will be eligible to be president in another year. Yeah, that guy; the one who stalked his ex-girlfriend, broke into her house and tore up her yard with his SUV. He's half-Hispanic and he'd be considered a good choice for political office since Republicans would think we Hispanics would be wooed by another Bush that wreaked our lives. Not to mention that the only Spanish we've ever heard him speak was at the 1992 Republican convention when he said, "Viva Bush!" at the end of his little family values spiel. Cry me a river.

Romney/Bush squeak out a one vote victory in whichever battleground state decides the election this time. The team is coronated by the Vatican Five Black Robes. Obama graciously concedes defeat, goes to work for Goldman Sachs. President Romney is tragically killed when he falls and is trampled by his polo pony. President Bush III takes the oath of office before a shocked nation, united in mourning and resolve to bring the farrier terrorist who shod Romney's pony to justice . The farrier terrorist's great grandfather emigrated to the Land of the Free from Ice Land in 1900. The US invades Ice Land, spends billions of dollars rebuilding the geothermal plants that cost billions of dollars to destroy with million dollar a piece bombs. Thousands of Ice Landers are killed as are hundreds of American heroes. President Bush declares victory ten years before the war ends.

I swear some people have no sense at all if they vote for another bush. The BFEE must need some more moolah. It's bad enough that little boots had alleged insider trading, that a bin laden helped finance his business and he made money while the business went south. And then there's niall, who is now in the education industry (god help us), who was part of the S&L scandal. And yet, the truly ignorant in this country, just love, love getting screwed by the grand bush.

the family is one piece of work, and has done more harm to this country. Yeah, elect another bush and maybe they can declare that now they're royalty. "it's good to be king." Didn't poppy once state that if the american people knew what they'd done, the people would be in the streets with pitchforks?

However, a writer at The Daily Caller wrote this article "Time to deploy Jeb":

...Bush’s record of accomplishment and straightforward philosophy on the role of the public sector — he maintains that government should do nothing that is advertised in the Yellow Pages — would create a welcome contrast with Obama, and rekindle enthusiasm among Republican voters.

Apart from the logistical challenges of launching a run at this late date (discussed below), there are two major impediments to Bush’s presidential candidacy: branding and will.

Branding is the easy bit. There are many who negatively associate Jeb Bush with the presidencies of his brother and father. Years ago, after I published a newspaper column extoling Jeb’s success as Florida governor and suggesting he would make a potent president, one fellow responded, “I wouldn’t listen to another Bush if it were burning.”

At the Michelle Malkin-founded HotAir.com, "Allahpundit" wrote: "Hey, how about a Jeb Bush vs. Palin brokered convention?"

I'm going to go by the time-honored Bush rule of "never tell the truth," and guess that what Jeb is really up to is this.

Publicly, he displays interest in being VP.

Privately, he tells the Romney people to fuck off and he will never take the job.

Bush generates public interest in himself and a non-useful uptick in interest for Romney, to be followed by a post-convention downturn of disappointment.

Then Romney picks someone else, gets his ass whipped, and every knuckledragger in the country spews, "he wood of one if heda pickled Jbeb," all over the Internet for four years.

And Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.

...when it becomes evident that one candidate has the nomination in the bag, but the convention is still months away, a campaign has to offer a "dangle," an implausible but somehow intriguing running mate that gets kicked around in the press for a few weeks or months to buy time and keep the obvious selection somewhat fresh for the convention.

The Kerry camp dangled John McCain for awhile, for example. Bob Dole dangled George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, and so on.

But the Bushes, including Karl Rove and Jeb, are a special brand of Republican not particularly loyal to anyone but themselves.

So I wonder if Jeb, sensing the impending VP tail-chase, just dangled himself, knowing it could only help himself and harm Romney?
