Sheriff seeks cruelty charge for vet accused of killing cat
Apr 21, 7:59 PM EDT
BELLVILLE, Texas (AP) -- A Texas sheriff has asked for an animal cruelty charge against a veterinarian who bragged on social media about killing a cat with an arrow.
Dr. Kristen Lindsey boasted on Facebook of killing the cat. A picture showed her holding the cat's body by the arrow shaft.
Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes said Tuesday that results of his department's investigation have been submitted to District Attorney Travis Koehn. Koehn says his office "will carefully review this matter."
Operators of the clinic where Lindsey worked in Brenham, about 100 miles northwest of Houston, said they fired her after learning of the posting last week. The Facebook account has been closed.

(102,225 posts)The owner of the clinic was interviewed after firing her and was (appropriately) scathing towards her. He is from Texas and graduated from vet school in the early 80s. She is from Wyoming, though educated at CSU in Colorado, graduating in 2012. I seriously doubt there is any truth to that assertion.
Seems a lot of rumors going around.

(102,225 posts)appears to have acted expeditiously and appropriately when they themselves became aware of this horrible situation. There is NO evidence she was married. There is certainly no evidence that anyone at the clinic had a familial relationship with her.
She deserves the scorn. The entire profession, the relevant organizations and leadership which have come out to denounce her actions in the most decisive manner, do not. And, that certainly appears to include her employer.

(17,595 posts)in a message board - especially when I'm upset up a crime. the idiot vet did not work for me - she worked for that clinic. at the very least they did a poor job evaluating her integrity. on a realistic level, they probably knew her sadistic hobbies.

(102,225 posts)smearing those not involved with the horrendous act, as you do. Ans when you do so, others WILL call you out for it.
You posted the same unfounded crap on my thread too. That is rumor-mongering.

(7,499 posts)I read they even put duct tape over her name on the clinic sign. Also read that the clinic got more than fifty calls in less than an hour. This whole thing just makes me sick.
