Palace says Duchess of Cambridge in hospital for birth

LONDON (AP) Officials say Prince William's wife Kate has been admitted to a London hospital for the birth of the couple's second child.
In a brief statement, Kensington Palace officials announcd Saturday that the Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to St. Mary's Hospital.
The baby will be a younger brother or sister to William and Kate's first child, Prince George, who was born in July 2013 at the same hospital.
The couple has said that they don't know whether the baby will be a boy or a girl.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to hospital in the early stages of labour.
She was admitted to the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in west London - where her first child, Prince George, was born in July 2013.
Kensington Palace said "labour is progressing as normal" for the duchess who was taken to the hospital by car.
Officials have said the duchess and her husband, Prince William, do not know the sex of their unborn child.
The duchess travelled from Kensington Palace with Prince William and was admitted at 06:00 BST (05:00 GMT).

(14,691 posts)say who cares about these people and yet - When Queen E. came to NYC for the Bicentennial in '76 I was all "WHO CARES" - but I actually snuck out of work to see her when she arrived in the royal Rolls Royce caravan to take a tour of Bloomingdales. I stood by a cop to make sure no one got in front of me! For anyone who doesn't care (LOL) she wore a 3-piece matching ensemble in a terrible shade of green.
