Simply Fashion and Dots stores closing nationwide

BOSTON (AP) — Simply Fashion and Dots stores nationwide are closing, and going-out-of-business sales are starting Thursday.

Simply Fashion, a discount retailer of women's clothing, accessories and footwear, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. The privately held company currently runs about 243 stores under the Simply Fashion and Dots names.

Liquidators Gordon Brothers Group and Hilco Merchant Resources are managing the closings.

While I know of none in my area, I hate to see people lose their jobs anywhere (except for a few folks at the top of some big banks, perhaps).

2. Sad, but I've never even heard of these stores

I'm from NY.
Now when Gimbels, Alexander's, and Fortunoff closed they were dark days.
