Christie to call for larger military, more US intervention

Source: AP

MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is calling for a larger U.S. military and a boost in national defense spending, according to excerpts of his foreign policy speech Monday in New Hampshire. Christie is also defending the government's intelligence-collection efforts.

The likely 2016 Republican presidential contender criticizes President Barack Obama's handling of the rise of the Islamic State group and the emerging nuclear deal with Iran. He calls for building stronger alliances around the world.

Excerpts of the speech were released by Christie's political action committee.

It's Christie's third speech in the early-voting state as he lays the groundwork for an expected campaign. Previous speeches focused on overhauling Social Security and lowering taxes on individuals and corporations.

they would need to get a bigger cell to put him in. Most are only 8' x 10'. Someone would have to grease him up and then try to squeeze him into the cell. Ugh!

Wonder how Gandhi would do in a US election. Well, if he were a real citizen like Ted Cruz, I mean.

...And they think the answer is to cut funding for education, shut down the Dept. of Education, and arrest the National Education Association.

What kind of an imagination it must take to be a GOP candidate, eh?

Since this is so important,

I'm sure he will advocate raising taxes on top income earners to pay for this. And of course all his children will be the first to volunteer for the Marines and the Army so they can be on the front lines of the "Intervention."

What? Not so much you say. Well...we can always gut Social Security.
