Bikers Put Out 'Green Light' Against Officers Following Waco Shooting

WACO - One day after a wild biker brawl and clash with police that left nine men dead, 18 wounded and about 170 under arrest for engaging in organized crime, this Central Texas town was still on guard.
State troopers and police carrying military-style rifles were guarding a sprawling outdoor mall that includes Twin Peaks, a risque chain tavern where chaos broke out Sunday afternoon when five gangs suddenly squared off.
A fight that broke out in the men's room and then quickly spilled into the bar area and parking lot turned deadly with rival bikers attacking each other and then squaring off against Waco Police who rushed inside the restaurant on the southern edge of the city.
As police rounded up the bikers and night soon fell, intelligence reports indicated that more bikers were on the way here and that officers had been "green lighted" - essentially a gang sanctioned call for killing - as retaliation.

(19,460 posts)Now, see what you did! Obama had this planned all along. Get the bikers to have a fight in some stupid diner, and when they start killing each other, he can move the military right in to Texas!

(6,917 posts)It does not seem possible that a gunfight between hundreds of people, including dozens of police, could occur at a shopping mall restaurant.
Maybe I'm wrong. It just seems a lot even for this a bunch of trigger-happy idiots.

(9,904 posts)It's almost a bit comical some of the posts I have seen concerning this issue, keyboard judge and juries abound...
Granted there are bad guys attached to any organization just as there are good guys, frankly I would rather meet one of the good motorcycle riders on a dark street than perhaps the likes of certain so called upper crust, religious heads etc who I have a harder time trusting many of them further than I could throw them...
The whole charade smacks of a set up.....
By who or why, I have no idea at this point....
But I do know many bikers and never have felt in any fear.....

(11,581 posts)Not all 1%s are felons. I am married to a Bandido who is a veteran, and a good citizen.
There is way more to this story as you say. Unfortunately all who were there were arrested and bond is set really high. Many have already been transferred to other prisons so they will not be talking to the media...in fact they may stay in jail. These guys are witnesses.
No way will the club be able to put up so much money for all of them. They may all be charged with capital murder because of the Rico Act even though we do not know who actually did the shooting. Some say that the police were well armed and outside where the shooting occurred, as many as 18 in uniforms and yet no police were shot. One report said there were police snipers on roofs.
The police are also planting stories that they are being threatened as a result of this and that club members will be coming to retaliate. If the police weren't part of what happened why would they be threatened? And if it was about gang rivalry as the police say why would the police be threatened? Wouldn't it be the "rival gang" threatened? The public is eating it up and will not come out against the police like they have recently over other cases of police overreach. We need to question the police on this and not buy into their narrative. The police are making themselves heroes here.
Thanks for your voice of caution.

The big 4, 1% clubs are organized crime families basically. Giving a green light to kill cops would bring down way to much heat on the clubs, you would think.
The big 4 being the Outlaws, the Hells Angels, the Pagans and the Banditos.
Lots of others gangs too like the Sons of Silence, the Mongols, and the Vagos.
Any nutcase in Amerika can be fully armed with military styled weapons.

Police Intelligence reports claimed blacks were gunning for police in Missouri, and that was just another LIE to make rednecks feel sorry for the police and Fox could sell advertising time. I wouldn't trust a police intelligence report any more than a jail house snitch.

The sheriff wouldn't or couldn't explain why dozens of heavily armed police from all branches of government happened to show up at that time and place.
I didn't hear him say anything about "the green light" which I assume was thrown in later, to sweeten the pot.

Well, it would surely be helpful to the public to know exactly who the three are, what they look like, and where they might be hiding. But I can't find a version of this story with that information. Unless the "victims" of the "mistake" just happen to be the most influential or highest-ranking gang members...
UPDATE: Nobody Screwed Up In Release Of Bikers On Lower Bonds
Officers arrested the three after they rode up to the perimeter of the shooting scene Sunday afternoon wearing gang colors and carrying weapons...They were arrested because they had weapons and were charged in engaging in organized crime and were taken to the county jail," Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton...said...They were booked under a different case number than the other suspects arrested after the shootout, however, and based on the charge were granted lower bonds...
While reviewing the case, he realized it was connected to the arrests of the three bikers, revoked their bonds and issued new arrest warrants, Swanton said.
Juan Garcia and Drew King of Austin were released from jail after posting $50,000 bonds and James Harris, also of Austin, after posting a $20,000 bond. Garcia and Harris have been rearrested...
Nobody connected three bikers showing up at the scene of the crime with weapons and the fact that the crime scene involved bikers using weapons? And now they're charged with being part of the brawl though they never got to participate in it? If I were on the jury, I'd have to acquit them, because somebody DID screw up!
