Teen charged as an adult in school bus shooting
| May 29, 2015 | Updated: May 29, 2015 2:42pm

Police say Robles fired his gun into the school bus May 14 after someone on the bus spit on him. Robles and some friends were apparently at the bus stop to fight another group of boys.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/1Fklnyb ) reports police believe Robles was the only shooter, and that two of his friends are cooperating.

Robles was arrested in Liberty County, Georgia, on May 21.

His attorney Robert Davis said he had not had a chance to talk to his client, and had no further comment.

If you are going to charge children as adults, then you should make all other rights and privileges operational at the same age.

If he can be tried as an adult at 16, he should be able to smoke, drink, join the Army, sign contracts, etcetera, as well.

Its the sentencing where things like their age, intelligence and the nature of the crime should be taken into consideration.
