Romney heckled in New York: ‘You’re a racist!’

Source: The Raw Story

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney came to New York City on Tuesday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden — but had his event somewhat spoiled by a very loud activist who repeatedly yelled that he was a “racist.”

Appearing with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) on the street outside a firehouse, the former Massachusetts avoided mentioning President Barack Obama’s role in ordering the attack on bin Laden until he was asked about it by a reporter.

“Of course I would have ordered taking out Osama bin Laden,” Romney told reporters. “Had I been president of the United States, I would have made the same decision the president did, which is to remove him. And I acknowledged actually a year ago when this was announced that the president deserved credit for the decision that he made and I continue to believe that and certainly would have taken that action myself.”

Several minutes later, a woman on the street began to shout, “Mitt Romney, you’re a racist!”

It's sad, because racism is real but the accusation of racism has lost all power.

She is a true American hero... she's right, you know? Avoiding the Vietnam Draft like the spoiled auto heir he was, he did missionary work overseas back in the sixties, this being a time when the LDS church's official doctrine included that black people had dark skin because they lost the celestial battle between good and evil.

Let's not give the impression that he was toiling away in some third world country.

I've had Morman "missionaries" show up on my doorstep in suburban Minneapolis. At least they're usually easier to get rid of than Jehovah Witnesses.

Got any weeds you want pulled or a car that needs washing? Ask the missionaries to do it. They will give you prompt, usually excellent, service with a smile.

Seriously. Those poor guys will never tell you this, but they are totally bored off their asses and welcome a break from the usual routine of marching door-to-door while constantly being told to pound sand.

He's classist for sure, not a decent human being, and enjoys hurting the little guy if it will enlarge his coffers.

But, not racist.

but then again, there's his stance on the Dream Act and his comment during one of the debates, where he said "I can't have illegals working for me!"
Still, I don't think Willard is as blatant as the other GOP candidates (excluding Huntsman). We found out about the Ron Paul newsletters, Gingrich's food stamp comments, Santorum and blah people and him calling PBO a "nig", Bachmann's tar baby comments, and even Herman Cain saying blacks are brainwashed and closed-minded for voting Democratic.

Those people sitting on the fence and could go either way this coming election hear things like this and it turns them off. I'm not talking about those at the rally. They're pretty much sold on the man. I'm talking about those that see it on the news or read of it in the paper. They think, "what a wacko" and it turns them off. They are 'the middle' and they count, folks. I know a great many of them and that's what I hear them say about incidents such as this.

but there's not much that can be done about it. I do know that when I see really disparaging and hateful comments made about Obama it does make me even more motivated to see him elected again, just to stick it to the bigots.

There are probably people who support Rmoney who get the same feeling when they hear stuff like this, but they are already in his camp. I don't think isolated incidents like this really sway undecideds that much. There seems to more hate coming from the GOP anyway. I don't quite get the fence sitters. Obama and Rmoney are as different as can be.

I don't know if Rmoney is a racist, though I do think he has little regard for people who are not in his class and that certainly includes a lot of people including African Americans.

I can't remember seeing any with him.

Does he have a circle of friends that includes other Races?
I can't remember seeing any one around him other than White people but maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

To be perfectly honest, I can't recall seeing him being anything other than a
!%er that loves FRANCE and loves his M O N E Y and what it can buy for HIM.

And , while most people ( of every race) appear to love their Doggie, Mitt would prefer his dog take a ride to Canada on top of the car.

No thanks, with friends like Mitt, I would not have to look for any enemies.
