A 93-year-old man unable to find his daughter's house lost his money, then his car in separate crimes involving at least three suspects, St. Louis police say.
Police said the victim had been a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, the famous African-American pilots who fought in World War II.
The incidents happened at about 11:20 a.m. Sunday, said police, who gave this account:
After getting lost while trying to drive to his daughter's house, the victim stopped near McPherson Avenue and Sarah Street in the Central West End neighborhood and was attempting to call her when a man got in the car. The suspect took cash from the victim's pants pocket, got out of the vehicle, entered an older, black, four-door car and left.
