Huckabee: I Can't Believe Kentucky Clerk Is In Jail And Hillary Isn't!

Source: TPM

Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said on Thursday it was a wonder that an anti-gay Kentucky county clerk was in jail and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton wasn't.

He also described the clerk, Kim Davis, who was taken into federal custody earlier in the day for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses, as a victim of the "criminalization of Christianity." A day earlier, Huckabee described Davis as a "person of great conviction."

Kim Davis in federal custody removes all doubts about the criminalization of Christianity in this country. We must defend #ReligiousLiberty!

The irony is that she didn't want to simply not do her job herself. No. She wanted to keep OTHER clerks who swore an oath from doing their jobs....

The judge later sought a resolution that would keep Davis out of jail. He told her six deputies that they are free to follow the law, overruling an objection from her lawyer, who argued that they can’t act against the clerk’s authority. All but the clerk’s son, Nathan, later promised to comply.

Davis was summoned back to court and offered the option to go free as long as she did not interfere with her deputies issuing the licenses. Through her attorneys, she declined.

“We cannot represent to the court that Ms Davis would allow licenses to be issued,” her attorney said. *

_______

She needs to sit in jail as long as she will openly guarantee to interfere with other clerks from upholding their oaths to do their jobs

What has any of what this dipshit clerk in Kentucky has done to discredit her religion to do with Hillary. Hillary should be in jail for what? Being smarter than Huckleberry? Shit. Ninety percent of the people in the US are smarter than Huckleberry. What horrible illogical things can a Republican candidate say that will discredit them so badly that people will just stop listening to them? The end game consequence of the Republican attack on everything decent is that truth itself has lost meaning. The shitstorm is so bad that it makes it impossible for normal people to even think. Stop listening to the idiot Right and find the real answers for yourself in all of this mess.
