Republicans sorry for saying ranger lied about making out
Source: AP
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Two Republican lawmakers whom a park ranger cited for making out in a public park apologized Monday for accusing that ranger of lying and stepped down from a Minnesota House ethics panel in an apparent effort to head off a complaint from Democrats.
In separate statements, Reps. Tara Mack and Tim Kelly made little reference to the Aug. 25 incident in which a Dakota County park ranger said he found the pair making out in a car. The ranger wrote in his notes that Mack's pants were unzipped and pulled down.
Mack and Kelly who are married to other people originally called the officer's account "an absolute lie," insisting they met in Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan to swap documents relating to a health insurance company. They vowed to lodge a formal complaint against the ranger.
They later backed down from that promised complaint and each paid $260 misdemeanor fines actions the House Democrats said amounted to admissions of guilt.

(26,290 posts)Mind you the irony is greater when a republican does it though because of the BS their base is willing to believe about the party being for the family and "traditional" marriage even after the multiple sex scandals and lies not to mention the endless amount of hypocrisy from them.

(204 posts)it's about the hypocrisy of being a family values politician who then chases little boys, screws anything who's willing, and the lying to cover his or her ass. The everybody does it meme doesn't work in those circumstances.

I put the sarcasm thing just incase people don't realize I'm trying to be funny. I realize it may not be funny to everyone, so I apologize if you are offended.

(764 posts)Based on what they got caught doing, what they did as a reaction and how they look I am guessing that dude uses people like a bully and she is a vampire hunting for power. Oh for all you Bernie supporters THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! I was a bad boy in a previous post and apparently did not footnote my conclusion with THIS IS JUST MY OPINION and got chastised for it. oops

(405 posts)But cited for making out in a public park? Is that actually illegal these days in those parts? I know they are both married to other people, so shame on them, but if you can't make out in a public park, it is a sad day for Minnesota and America.

(5,751 posts)Her pants were down, and if that isn't forewarning what cums next, I don't know what is. Probably got them for indecent exposure or sum such.

(23,372 posts)I understand why laws against the practice might exist. It's not really private. I would personally not be offended by that.

(11,175 posts)The report of the 2013 vote doesn't include any speeches they may have made about the sanctity of marriage, but I'll bet I'd find them if I cared enough to look.
Incidentally, he's 51, she's 32. That means he's the only one eligible for consideration for the VP slot on the national ticket. As a sterling exemplar of contemporary GOP values, he certainly deserves such consideration.

(507 posts)apologize to the park ranger he accused of lying. Mack apologized for offending any officers.
I'm tired of these non-apology apologies, "Sorry if you got offended!"
They publicly called the man a liar and they should offer a public apology to him.
