Punch thrown as GOP Mackinac confab begins

Source: Detroit Free Press

A huge Republican political gathering on Mackinac Island got under way Thursday night with a barroom incident in which a top official for presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio allegedly threw a punch at a Michigan consultant working for Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky.

The alleged incident took place at Horn's Bar, a popular nightspot on Mackinac Island, which hosts the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, which is held every other year and has drawn six GOP presidential hopefuls this year.

It is clear Rubio is drinking to much, likely to "fortify" his nerves and shaky style. He's a PR disaster waiting to happen, but at least he is in the right party for that to be entirely overlooked.

I seen this at a restaurant in 2007. There were a group of McCain or Romney people calling the group of Ron Paul supporters nut cases.

21. Yes, but the Paul people don't run the media and establishment like the neo-cons do

So I guess the neo-cons look worse, simply because there are 10 times as many. Even the other day you can see they are playing up Fiorona, Rubio, and Christie. Media said they did great. Then they said Trump, Carson, and Paul did poorly. Wanna know why? Because all three said the Iraq War was a mistake. Neo-cons can not have an anti-war candidate. They love war.

I'll bet, if there were a show of hands on that question, nationwide, I would not run out of fingers counting them.
