Boston's 'Baby Doe' identified, source says

Source: CNN

(CNN)—The girl known as "Baby Doe" -- who in June was found dead, wrapped in a trash bag on a rocky shoreline in Boston Harbor -- has been identified as Bella Bond, a law enforcement source said Friday.

Rachelle Bond, the girl's mother, and her boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, have been arrested in connection with the death, the source said. The charges against them were to be announced Friday afternoon.

McCarthy is not Bella's biological father, according to the source.

The case of the mysterious girl, whose adorable brown eyes and cherubic face -- as rendered by forensic artist Christi Andrews and distributed by authorities in Massachusetts -- caught the attention of millions.

The poor little girl. I just hope she didn't suffer. They still don't know how she died yet. Some people should just never have children.

especially if they're checking her hair, also.

Some addicted parents will drug the kids to get them to sleep while they party. It's a sad fact of life.

Four year olds are too old for SIDS and usually the COD is very obvious.

Would all the drugs have broken down in her system by the time they found her? There was no trauma on the body, so I think she must have been killed via drugs or some other internal method.

because that's the last place they break down. A hair sample would tell them if she'd been given drugs over a long time.

Anyway, I really hope they find out what happened to her and bring whomever was responsible to justice. This was just a really sad case.
