Cabela's restructures corporate office, cuts jobs

Source: Omaha World Herald

SIDNEY, Neb. — Cabela’s confirmed Thursday that it has completed a corporate office restructure and reduction in force affecting approximately four percent of corporate outfitters.

“This was a sad day for us at Cabela’s,” said Tommy Millner, Cabela’s chief executive officer. “These are not only our co-workers, but also our friends and neighbors. As our business needs shift, we have to make organizational shifts. This is part of our ongoing focus on continuous improvement. I am encouraged about our future and growth plans and believe we are on a path toward future success.”

The exact number of employees affected by the restructure and reduction in force was not specified.

Cabela’s remains deeply committed to Sidney, employing more than 2,000 people in the area, it said in a press release.

are you gonna buy anything at that rate of pay? sheesh, the wealthy just can't get a break and I'm certain the store employees don't get holiday pay, or overtime or 40 hours a week, because he needs that to continue growth.

I'm sick of this country, I really am.

it's the employees that have been tossed on the trash heap of the country due to downsizing, outsourcing and greed.

the ceos don't feel a thing, they got moats to build in the public lands where they own houses. they could give a slimey shit about the rest of us.

Did I mention I"m getting really sick of this country?

attack on the safety net and govt. programs and workers, harmful trade deals, pollution, sickness et al. It could keep one up at night, and does but what other choice is there but to fight for our democracy and environment the best we can. The country I love, it's the people and corrupt systems that are damaging it.

Never buy from Cabela's.
This corporation will not open a store without massive corporate welfare. It is a scam and needs to be outed. They are low life scum. This corporation will gladly put all local sporting good stores out of business.

Wall-mart is a better corporate neighbor!

Support Gander Mountain as they are a much better corporate neighbor.
