Iran official: Saudi royal house to fall within 20 years

Source: Times of Israel

Safavi, military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that in light of Riyadh’s inability to administer the annual Muslim pilgrimage, he expected the current Saudi government to rescind control over the holiest site in Islam.

“We hope that God willing, Mecca and Medina will be managed by an Islamic government in less than 20 years from now when there won’t be any al-Saud,” Safavi said.

At least 769 people were killed, including 150 Iranians, in the stampede in Mina on the final day of the hajj pilgrimage. At least 934 people were injured.

It appears Iran likes to make these statements about everyone it doesn't like.

I doubt anyone could manage it any better without significant changes in organization, which won't happen. Religious sheep being led to slaughter. Pitiful.

5. The Saudi's are hated by many muslims, not just Shia's.

In part due to their quite openly hedonistic, worldly manner of living which is VERY counter to the ideal of Sunni Islam as a method of godliness from following the traditional understanding of Mohammed's life and how he lived his own life.

The political repression is another oft-heard complaint.

They hold onto power with the support of the US, and our MIC, which needs oil, and whose commercial interests profit from its extraction. Instability in the K.S.A. would undermine the Western economy.

11. Why not just blame regimes based on religion for 90% of the problems in the world?

Actually, closer to 100% if you also include religious killings/etc. within countries?

The USofA is not a stellar example of doing good. The whole "house of representatives" is beholden to some stupid religious crap.

Get rid of all those mainly men calling for war/killing in the name of their religion and peace will reign. Besides, those mainly men never put themselves in harms way - they only incite.

I hope Israel shows restraint, but it's almost like Iran is begging the Israelis to "pull the trigger".
As far as the House of Saud, it will fall when IS is driven south by Russian, Iranian and Chinese troops.
